Yes,Lovecraft's most horrifying creation is now a 17 inch tall figurine made out of wire, aluminum foil, epoxy and Super Sculpey; as featured in HORRORSHOW magazine and the upcoming Lovecraft tribute book from Centipede Press. Oozing with green slime and ready to come knocking at your door. Wish I would have made a mold of this guy. Maybe someday.

From suggester: "The sheer amount of detail Cthulhu maquette by ~shaungent blows my mind! shaungent's sculptures are both grotesque and beautiful, capturing ever fold of flesh, scale, and tentacle." I have read and seen plenty of descriptions and sculptures based on Cthulhu, but this one stands out above the others. The variety of textures and designs worked into this piece compliment each other wonderfully. ( Suggested by *snapesgirl34 and Featured by !Thebuild )

Hands down, the very finest interpretation of Great Cthulhu I've ever seen. The level of detail is simply astonishing! I realise this was a one-off, but do you have any plans to recreate this stunning piece and make it available as a limited edition? It would make an incredible companion to your Steampunk Cthulhu (which I also love!)

Someday hopefully. Did you see my Steampunk Cthulhu is now available?

Do you have any sketches of this?

Sorry. Not sketches. I do need to get in the habit of sketching out my ideas before I sculpt though. Blindly diving into sculpting can be dangerous I have found. Fun too of course.

Any chance you might be able to borrow the original and make a caste..? Just thinking of course... Or, perhaps a remake?

I am definitely thinking about a resin remake of this if my steampunk Cthulhu sells well as a resin statue.

Quite simply the BEST CTHULHU I've ever seen. For the sake of sanity, there is a way to possess a reproduction of this increadible work? If I was willing to pay out $250 for a plastic SOTA.com piece which was nice but not anything like yours, I'd sacrifice a kidney for this one. Thanks!

Thank you! I sold this one-of-a-kind years ago to a gentleman in California. I know I should have made molds and cast it but I just didn't make the time or have the money to do it. I am working on a steampunk version now that should be finished in December and I have designed it so it can be molded and cast as a limited edition resin statue. Keep in touch if you are interested. Thank you again and I will post images of the new Cthulhu soon.
