Centurion

Nearly five decades after the collapse the remnants of humanity returned to the surface.  Nothing could have prepared anyone for the horrors that awaited amidst the rubble of an utterly destroyed landscape.  Somehow, whatever had survived had created legions of monstrosities that roamed the blasted cities and towns of the past.  These things could be classified as neither creature nor machine, but a terrifying combination of the two. They appeared to be powered by some sort of clockwork technology and hunted with lethal dedication. The unfortunates who were captured were never seen or heard from again. In desperation, what was left of us prepared for a bitter and long struggle to reclaim the realm we had once dominated.
