I created some more shifter knobs and levers to give the idea that the throne is something that Lincoln has a reasonable amount of control over. Other people would be required to maintain the machine as well since Lincoln would not live long if he was to detach himself from it.

Prototype for a steam-powered machine that was designed to stabilize Lincoln and sustain him after the attempt on his life. The contrivance did keep him alive for nearly two decades after that fateful day but was never able to completely restore him to the great man he had once been.
